Sperry Van Ness/Gilmore Auction, a national accelerated marketing firm, has been retained to sell by sealed bid auction two former Wal-Mart stores in Ferriday and Oak Grove.

The first phase of the auction is a sealed bid due on November 5. A "Best and Final" Online Auction may be utilized as the final phase.

The Ferriday property is located at 2204 N. 4th Street and consists of 41,076 s.f. building on 3.41 acres. The Oak Grove property is located at 711 E. Main Street and has 52,331 s.f. on 3.04 acres.

The properties will be offered individually.

An inspection is scheduled for Oct. 29, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Oak Grove and 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Ferriday.

Alternative uses for these assets could be auto dealership, medical offices, climate controlled self storage, or retail.
