Block visits St. Mary's

Block High travels to St. Mary's in Natchitoches for a Thursday night football game.

"You really only have one true day of practice because we have JV games every Monday and we'll just go over some recognition stuff Wednesday," said Block coach Benny Vault.

The 4-3 Bears defeated Northwood-Lena 46-8 Friday as Hunter Key, John Bloodsaw and Curdarius Johnson combined for 228 rushing yards.

Key had eight carries for 78 yards and two touchdowns, Bloodsaw had five carries for 71 yards and two touchdowns, and Johnson had 79 yards.

"Our defense was awesome and the offense did pretty good," Vault said. "Right now we're just continuing to work on the things we can do well and try and do them better."
