Funeral services for Manual "Dixon" Dickerson, 65, of Ferriday will be held at Zion Hill Baptist Church in Ferriday Saturday, November 1, 2008, 11 a.m. with Pastor Leroy White officiating.

Burial will follow at Dickerson Family Cemetery in Woodville, MS, under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home.

Visitation will be held Friday evening, 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Dickerson was born December 11, 1942, in Woodville to Darling Dickerson and Annice Blakes Kendrick. He passed away October 24, 2008, at his residence.
He was a janitor at Concordia Parish Headstart.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Rev. Royal E. Dickerson; and a sister, Rosetta D. Williams.
Survivors include his wife, Juanita Scott Dickerson; three daughters, De'Anna Dickerson of Ferriday, Dana D. Seals of Monroe, and Anya' Morgan of Houston, TX; a son, Manuel Lee Seals of Monroe; mother-in-law, Johnnie L. Scott of Ferriday; three sisters, Mary Dunbar and Emelda D. Gaines of Woodville, Julia M. James of Los Angeles, CA; brothers, Darling Dickerson Jr., and wife, Debra, of Baton Rouge, Nehemiah Smith of Munford, AL, and James C. Hudson of Los Angeles; eight grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
