Carlos N. Bumpurs Funeral services for Carlos N. Bumpurs, 69, of Jonesville were held Saturday, November 1, 2008, 1 p.m. at Jonesville United Pentecostal Church with Rev. Greg Terrell and Rev. Billy Brown officiating.
Burial followed at Heard Cemetery in Manifest under the direction of Comer Funeral Home in Ferriday.
He was born February 10, 1939, in Hope, AR, to Homer Lee and Estelle Bumpurs. He passed away Thursday, October 30, 2008, at his residence.
Mr. Bumpurs had been a resident of Jonesville for 22 years and a member of the Jonesville United Pentecostal Church. He was a retired lumber inspector with KCS Lumber Co. in Natchez.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife, Thelma E. Bumpurs of Jonesville; a son, Audy Bumpurs of West Monroe; daughter, Theresa Yancey of Glenmora; stepchildren, Ronnie Mason, Brenda Baldwin, Roger Mason and Michael Mason, all of Jonesville; two brothers, J. D. Bumpurs of Prairieville and Douglas Bumpurs of Plaquemine; sister, Martha Ann Dupey of Jonesville; three grandchildren, Reginald Yancey II and Karlee Yancey of Glenmora, and Brandon Bumpurs of West Monroe; 11 step-grandchildren; and three step great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Elton Tolbert, Kevin Posey, Sam Terrell, Seth Terrell, Wesley Brantley and Michael Carney.
Honorary pallbearers were Reggie Yancey and Brandon Bumpurs. |
