Charles W. White Funeral services for Mr. Charles W. White, 83, of Ferriday, were held at Sycamore Baptist Church on Friday, November 7, 2008, 10 a.m. with Rev. Richard Cullum officiating.
Interment followed at Greenlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Young's Funeral Home in Ferriday.
Mr. White was born June 7, 1925, in Quinlin, TX, and passed away Wednesday, November 5, 2008, at Natchez Regional Medical Center Natchez.
He was a resident of Ferriday, retired from International Paper Mill with over 40 years of service. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and was a deacon at Sycamore Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Edith White; father, Charles White; mother, Vergie Andrews White; and a sister, Sadie May Flenning.
Survivors include sons, David White Sr. and wife, Inez, of Vidalia, Gary White Sr. and wife, Pam, also of Vidalia; daughters, Charlene Freeman and Delois Leah White, both of Ferriday; brother, Tony Joe White of Tennessee; sisters, Billie Faye Johnson of Bastrop, Shirley Faye Strange of Mer Rouge, and Frieda Hinsley of Tennessee; six grandsons, Rob Nolan, Gary Wayne White Jr., David White Jr., Mark White, Ben Daniels Jr. and Cody W. White; six granddaughters - Sunni Freeman Branstetter, Amy Nicole Jernigan, Misty Loraine Britt, Sarah Elizabeth Daniels, Rachel Leah Caldwell and Alicia Dawn White.
Pallbearers were members of Sycamore Baptist Church.
Honorary pallbearers were deacons of Sycamore Baptist Church. |
