Lady Wolves down LaSalle
Monterey's Lady Wolves posted an impressive 49-44 win over LaSalle Tuesday in Monterey, while the Monterye boys fell to the Tigers, 44-30.
The Lady Wolves outscored LaSalle 24-10 in the first half and held off a Lady Tiger rally in the second half.
Kendall Lipsey led the Lady Wolves with a game-high 22 points while Brooke Baker and Ellen Bairnsfather had eight points each.
In the boys contest, Monterey trailed LaSalle 7-6 after one period before the Tigers jumped out to a 20-13 halftime advantage.
LaSalle outscored Monterey 11-3 in the third period. Monterey won the final period, 14-13.
Austin Lipsey paced the Wolves with 12 points.
Monterey hosts Vidalia in boys and girls play Thursday. |
