Mable Emma Crouch Ratcliff
Funeral services for Mrs. Mable Emma Crouch Ratcliff, 87 ,of Monterey, were held at Eva Church Of God on Thursday, November 20, 2008 at 10 a.m. with Bro. Lloyd Trisler, Bro. Kevin Simms, Bro. Brad Crooks and Bro. Joe Lewis officiating.
Interment followed at Eva Church of God Cemetery under the direction of Young's Funeral Home in Ferriday.
Mrs. Ratcliff was born February 28, 1921, in Eva, and passed away Tuesday, November 18, 2008 in Monterey.
She was a resident of Monterey, a homemaker, and a member of the Jonesville Church of God, where she served as song leader and was very involved in all activites at the church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe L. "Jay" Ratcliff; parents, Issac and Maggie Thompson Crouch; and four brothers, Rodney, Amos, Eugene and Herbert Crouch.
Survivors include a son, Billy Joe Ratcliff and wife, Carolyn, of Monterey; Sheila Ratcliff Paul and husband, Pervon, of Monterey; five grandchildren, Annie Ratcliff Sance and husband, Glynn, Jennie Ratcliff Rogers and husband, Tim, Rebecca Ratcliff Simmons and husband, Ralph, Jan Paul and Jessica Paul; three sisters, Anita Poole and Carol McKey, both of Monterey, and Alyne White of Mayna; three great-grandchildren, Hanah Sance, Austin and Britt Overton.
Pallbearers were Britt Overton, Ralph Simmons, Johnny McKey, Jamie White, Eddie Poole, Gene Storey Crouch, Tommy "Red" Tiffee and Tommy Millican.
Honorary pallbearers were Austin Overton, Dianne and Dave Fancher, Rodney Calhoun, Jack Aswell, James Miller Crouch, James Lee Paul, Ed Rutledge, Clifton Harris and Ray Routon. |
