Lady Trojans compete at Hoopfest

Ferriday's Lady Trojans went 4-1 at the Ouachita Lady Lions Hoopfest in Monroe last week, defeating Homer on Nov. 26 to finish third in the tournament.

Ferriday defeated Lakeside 54-35 as Ja'Lessia Davis scored a career-high 30 points.

Ferriday outscored the Lady Warriors 12-3 in the third period to key the win.

The Lady Trojans cruised past Oak Grove 61-36 as T'Keyah Fletcher led the way with 16 points and Chante Poole added 15 points.

On the first day of the tournament, Ferriday defeated Homer 63-56.

The two teams met again two days later with Ferriday winning 46-33.

Davis netted 14, whie Jasmine Upchurch added 12.

The Lady Trojans beat Episcopal 63-42 in their final game of the tournament.

Upchurch led the way with 18 points, followed by Chante Poole with 16 and Fletcher with 14.

Ferriday's boys split two at Marksville Doubleheader.

Ferriday High's boys split a pair of games at the Marksville Doubleheader early last wee.

Ferriday defeated Buckeye 58-30 as Demarco Lewis, Carlton Robinson and Levier Pryor each scored 12 points.

The Trojans fell to Avoyelles

Ferriday trailed by six points at halftime before taking a 44-37 lead in the final period only to have the Mustangs win the game in the final second.

Lewis led Ferriday with 23 points.
