Lee named co-MVP Huntington senior fullback Josh Lee was named co-Most Valuable Player in MPSA District 5A along with Glenbrook Academy senior running back Jack Jiles, who rushed for 1,500-yards.
Huntington advanced to the second round of the playoffs before falling to Porter's Chapel, while Glenbrook lost to Desoto Academy of Arkansas in the Class A state finals in its bid to win two straight championships.
Lee rushed for 1,143 yards for the Hounds and was also named second team defensive lineman.
Also named to the first team were senior running back Jeremy Randall, who rushed for 2,297 yards and had 36 touchdowns, and senior offensive lineman Michael Dekerlegand.
On defense, senior defensive lineman Brelin Cage, sophomore linebacker Kevin Brown and senior punter Jordan Wilson were named to the first team.
Named to the second team were senior offensive lineman Max Jackson, senior tight end Tyler Pere´, senior offensive lineman Patrick Hailes and senior defensive lineman Brad Thibadeux.
Honorable mentions are senior center Aaron Winborne, Wilson and Walter Jones at tight end, Andreas Swanson, Pere´, Drew Loomis and Joey Roberts at defensive backs, Dekerlegand and linebacker and Wilson at defensive end. |
