Monterey hosting tournament
Monterey's boys and girls teams reached the finals of the Monterey Basketball Tournament last year, but finished as runners-up to Cathedral's boys and Harrisonburg's girls.
Monterey's squads look to get back to the finals and even more this year when the tournament tips off Thursday at Monterey.
The tournament tips off Thursday at 3:30 p.m. as Harrisonburg's girls face St. Joseph.
Harrisonburg's boys meet Delhi Charter at 4:45 p.m.
Monterey's boys meet St. Joseph at 6 p.m., followed by Cathedral's girls against Delhi Charter.
On Friday, LaSalle's girls meet the winner of the Harrisonburg-St. Joseph game at 3:30 p.m.
At 4:45 p.m., LaSalle's boys face the winner of the Harrisonburg-Delhi Charter game.
At 6 p.m., Monterey's girls face the Cathedral-Delhi Charter contest.
Cathedral's boys face the winner of the Monterey-St. Joseph game at 7:15 p.m.
Consolation games begin at 1 p.m. Saturday with the girls finals scheduled for 6 p.m. and the boys at 7:15 p.m.
Monterey hosts Georgetown on Tuesday before playing in the Harrisonburg Tournament. |
