Florence Nelda Jester
Funeral services for Florence Nelda Jester, 70, of Vidalia were held at Young's Community Funeral Home on Friday, November 28, 2008, 2 p.m. with Bro. Huey Hughes officiating.
Burial followed at Providence Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Young's Community Memorial Funeral Home in Winnsboro.
Mrs. Jester was born December 21, 1937, in Winnsboro, the daughter of Gordon Ashley and Inez Ruby Wallace Ashley. She passed away Tuesday, November 25, 2008, at Mississippi Baptist Medical Center in Jackson.
She was a resident of Vidalia, a night auditor at Passport Inn and Suites, a member of Women of the Moose and a Jehovah's Witness. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Gordie Ashley and Troy Ashley.
Survivors include the father of her children, Roy B. Jester; two daughters, Linda Collier and husband, Robert, and Susan Jester, all of Natchez; one sister, Inez Cupit of Baskin; four grandchildren, Cameron and Charmaine Collier, Tiffany Collier and Cade Farmer and fiancée, Emily Blaney, all of Natchez; two special sisters-in-law, Alice Ashley of Bay St. Louis, MS, and Bobbie Gene Ashley of Winnsboro; special friend, Sonja Patel; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a host of loving family and friends.
Pallbearers were Cameron Collier, Cade Farmer, Jerry Cupit, Tommy Ashley, Johnny Ashley and Derrick Lebeaux. Alex Patel served as honorary pallbearer. |
