Pearl Williams Ford Funeral services for Mrs. Pearl Williams Ford, 95, of Ferriday were held at Young's Funeral Home, Ferriday, on Saturday, December 6, 2008 at 1 p.m. with Bro. David Carlton officiating.
Interment followed at Ford Cemetery, Monterey, under the direction of Young's Funeral Home in Ferriday.
Mrs. Ford was born July 8, 1913 in Hammond and passed away Wednesday December 3, 2008 in Ferriday.
She grew up in Monterey and lived on Lake St. John for 60 years, then in Ferriday for 15 years. She was active in the Ferriday Garden Club and was an accredited flower show judge for many years. She was a member of Sevier Memorial Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Spencer Ford; daughter, Yvonne Carter; father, Thomas Jefferson Williams; mother, Elizabeth Boyd Williams; five sisters - Jeanette Green, Lalla Gardiner, Izella Ford, Ethel Robb and Bernice Klanke; a brother, Burrell Williams; two infant sons; and a grandson, Tommy Carter.
Survivors include daughters, Gloria Grenn and husband, Opie, of Pearl, MS, Esta Geron and husband, Cary, of Midland, TX, Susan Wimberly and husband, Charlie, of Baton Rouge, Pam Scoggin and husband, Gary, of Texas City, TX. She was also survived by 8 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Gerald Williams, Mark Franklin, Ford Franklin, Richard Gray, Spencer Gray, Van Shannon and Sidney Plaisance. |
