Herman K. Waltman Funeral services for Mr. Herman K. Waltman, Sr., 77 ,of Jonesville were held at Parhams Baptist Church on Saturday, December 6, 2008, 10 a.m. with Rev. Tony Ganey officiating.
Interment followed at Oswalt Cemetery, Lismore, under the direction of Young's Funeral Home in Ferriday.
Mr. Waltman was born May 9, 1931 in Waterproof and passed away Wednesday, December 3, 2008, at Riverland Medical Center Ferriday.
He was a resident of Jonesville and a consultant for Gulf Oil. He served his country in the United States Navy.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James Franklin and Mary Watts Waltman; two grandsons, Glenn Ray Perkins, Jr. and Joshua John Charpentier; three brothers - Ed, Frank and Fred Waltman; and three sisters - Vashita Johnson, El Nora Bearden and Owena Hendries.
Survivors include sons, Herman Waltman, Jr. of Jonesville, William Waltman and wife, Kathy, of New Iberia; daughters, Kahnie Motes and husband, Johnny, of Franklin, Sheila Waltman of Jenerette, Jonelle Charpentier and husband, Willie, of Parhams; brother, Jimmy Waltman of Ferriday; and a sister, Bradice Hammond of Monroe. He was also survived by 14 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Herman Joseph Waltman, Jason Scott Serigny, Larry Wayne Edmonds, Shane Michael Lassere, Billy Don Johnson and Michael Lewis Fabian. |
