Story Archives: Chapman leads Monterey to win

Chapman leads Monterey to win
by Joey Martin - posted E-mail Story E-mail Story | Print Story Print Story
Monterey High sophomore Josh Chapman scored a career high 27 points as the Wolves defeated Georgetown 63-45 Tuesday night in Monterey.

"That was probably our best game of the year using our full court press," said Monterey head coach Jeffery Odom. "And the kids coming off the bench played real well. Ross Lipsey has done a real good job the past four or five games at point guard managing the game. He's getting himself under control and everybody has is playing under control because of that. He's been a good leader."

Monterey's girls fell 39-27 as Ellen Bairnsfather netted eight points.
