Concordia Parish Recreation No. 3 has announced that all youth summer programs will not increase registration fees for 2009.

Recreation Direction Mike Bowlin, Girls Softball president Greg Young and Dixie Boys President James Thomas agreed that although costs of running the programs have risen, the current economic climate means the leagues ahe to tighten their budgets so more kids can play.

"The more participation we get in the programs, the better its is for the whole community," Bowlin said.
