Funeral services for Lola Mae Johnese, 62, of Ferriday, who died Tuesday, December 16, 2008, at her residence will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, December 18, 2008, at Faith Tabernacle Pentecostal Church in Vidalia with the Rev. Ronald Hall officiating.

Burial will follow at Highland Park Cemetery in Sicily Island under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today and from 10 a.m. until service time Thursday at the church.

Mrs. Johnese was born April 14, 1946, in Richland Parish, the daughter of Alex and Myrtle Hubbard Johnese. She joined the Faith Tabernacle Church November 18, 1971. She enjoyed cooking, reading and spending time with her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, Daniel Johnese and Willie Johnese.

Survivors include her husband, Hershel Ray Johnese; two sons, Jimmy Ray Johnese and wife, Tammy, of Harrisonburg and Justin Wilson Johnese and wife, Kim, of Newbrunfels, TX; one daughter, Glennis Rae Rachel and husband, James, of Denton, TX; three grandsons; five granddaughters; four great-grandsons; four sisters, Jenanette Merriett and husband, William, Nancy Johnson and husband, Howard Denny, Edna Faye Wagley and husband, Carl, all of Clayton, and Lillian Garrison and husband, Randy, of Fayette, MS; one brother, Laudell Johnese and wife, Debra, of Waterproof; and her church family of Faith Tabernacle Pentecostal Church.

Pallbearers will be Joey Kerrigan, Donnie Maples, Trey Weatherly, Jeremy Hall, Dustin Birley and Ryan Maples.

Honorary pallbearers will be Jack Goss and Patrick Anders.
