The 2008 All-Parish Football team has a senior look to it as only 10 players on the squad are underclassmen.

Vidalia senior Kevin Johnson is the All-Parish Player of the Year, while Chad Harkins of Huntington is Coach of the Year after leading the Hounds to the second round of the MPSA playoffs.

At quarterback is Vidalia sophomore Caleb Vines, who completed 59-of-110 passed for 1,065 yards and eight touchdowns.

Running backs are Vidalia's Kevin Johnson and Huntington seniors Jeremy Randall and Josh Lee

Johnson, the 2008 All-Parish Player of the Year, finished with 1,215 yards on 199 carries with 21 touchdowns. He also played on the defensive side of the ball.

Randall, who transferred from Vidalia High because his eligibility was up in the Louisiana High School Athletic Association, finished with 2,297 yards and 36 touchdowns.

Lee rushed for 1,143 yards for the Hounds.

The offensive line consists of Huntington seniors Michael Dekerlegand and Max Jackson, Vidalia senior Jake Martin, Vidalia junior Ben Parnham, Ferriday sophomore Gerald Webster and Ferriday senior Ryan Brooks.

The tight end is Huntington senior Tyler Pere.´

Pere´ finished with 26 catches for 381 yards.

At wide receiver is Ferriday sophomore DaVonta Scott and Vidalia sophomore Dee Fleming.

Fleming had 16 catches for 313 yards.

Scott caught 24 passes for 466 yards with four touchdowns and also rushed for 238 yards with three touchdowns.

Defensive tackles are Ferriday senior Antron Walker, Vidalia senior Rolandin Webster, Huntington senior Brelin Cage and Vidalia junior Van Thompson.

Walker had 56 tackles with five sacks.

Webster finished with 56 solo tackles and 23 assists. He also had six sacks.

Thompson had 47 solo tackles, 27 assists and three sacks.

Cage finished with 25 solo tackles and 20 assists, with three sacks. He also had two fumble recoveries.

Linebackers are Ferriday senior Levier Pryor, Huntington sophomore Kevin Brown and Ferriday juniors Julius White and Marquis Lewis.

Pryor, who was named Class 2A honorable mention all-State, had 152 tackles, 11 sacks, 14 tackles for loss, two interceptions and forced three fumbles.

White had 49 tackles, three sacks and forced two fumbles.

Lewis had 35 tackles, four sacks and recovered a fumble for a touchdown.

Brown finished with 70 solo tackles, 20 assists and two sacks. He also had one interception and forced three fumbles.

Defensive backs are Vidalia senior Kwan Reynolds, Viking senior Lemack Bates, Ferriday junior Bobby Madison and Ferriday junior Nieco Amado.

Madison finished with 68 tackles, five sacks and a fumble recovery.

Amado had 21 tackles, broke up 13 passes and had an interception.

Reynolds had 36 solo tackles, 16 assists and four interceptions.

Bates finished with 28 solo tackles, 10 assists and collected three interceptions.

The punter is Huntington senior Jordan Wilson, who averaged 39.6 yards a punt.
