Keahey reappointed to Tensas Levee Board

Gov. Bobby Jindal announced the reappointment of Drew Keahey of Columbia to the Board of Commissioners of the Tensas Basin Levee District.

Keahey is the owner of Keahey Flying Service, an agricultural aviation company, and is a board member of the National Agricultural Aviation Association. Keahey was reappointed to serve as a representative of Caldwell Parish, as required by statute.

The Board of Commissioners of the Tensas Basin Levee District is responsible for maintaining the integrity of the levees and maintaining the levee drainage system within the district which is comprised of Caldwell, Catahoula, Franklin, LaSalle, Morehouse, Ouachita, Richland and West Carroll parishes.

According to statute, the board is comprised of 11 members, including one commissioner from each parish within the district. Additionally, two more members are appointed from Ouachita Parish and one member is appointed at-large from the district.
