Myrtle Ree 'Ma' Harris Funeral services for Myrtle Ree "Ma" Harris, 82, of Vidalia were held Sunday, December 21, 2008, 2:30 p.m. at Comer Funeral Home Chapel in Ferriday with Minister Vernon Watts officiating.
Burial followed at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Natchez under the direction of Comer Funeral Home.
Mrs. Harris was born October 14, 1926, in Monarch, AR, the daughter of Hudson and Dessie M. Brown. She passed away Thursday, December 18, 2008, in Ferriday.
Mrs. Harris had been a resident of Vidalia since 1951 and was a member of the Ferriday Church of Christ. She was a retired beautician and was the owner and operator of Myrtle's Beauty Shop. She was a member of the Natchez Moose Lodge.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Henry L. Harris; a son, Lee Edward Harris; and five brothers and sisters.
Survivors include a son, Gerald Harris of Colfax; daughter-in-law, Patricia Harris of Vidalia; sisters, Lucille and Jenny, both of Monroe; grandchildren, Cathy Stroud and husband, Marty, Ronnie Harris and wife, Buffy, all of Wesson, MS, Jason Harris and wife, Marissa, of Madison, MS, and Jerry Harris and wife, Lee, of Hernando, MS; great-grandchildren, Lindsey Ezell, Cory Stroud, Erin Stroud, Joseph Harris, Morgan Harris, Logan Harris, Caleb Harris, Tobin Harris, Hudson Harris, and Luke Harris; great-great-grandchildren, Madison McNatt and Hayden Ezell; and special friends, Bobbie and R. C. Cavin, Butch Goodman, Annie Mae Cotton and Jean Cater.
Pallbearers were Jason Harris, Jerry Harris, Ronnie Harris, Marty Stroud, Crawford Harris, Greg Duncan and Gary Duncan. |
