Former Ferriday officer booked for child pornography
posted E-mail Story E-mail Story | Print Story Print Story
A 46-year-old former Ferriday police officer was booked by the FBI on Monday on one count of possession of child pornography.

FBI Supervisory Senior Resident Agent Ricardo Martinez of Monroe said James S. Cockerham was indicted on December 18th. Agents arrested Cockerham Monday at his residence in Ferriday.

Martinez said a search of Cockerham's residence was conducted in May and that led to the seizure of videos and a computer.

Martinez said Cockerham previously served as acting assistant police chief in Ferriday before leaving the department in 2004.
