Georgia Smith
Funeral services for Mrs. Georgia Fair Smith, 54, of Vidalia were held at Young's Funeral Home on Saturday, December 27, 2008 at 10 a.m. with Rev. Ron Ferrington officiating.
Interment followed at Legion Memorial Cemetery, Newelton, under the direction of Young's Funeral Home in Ferriday.
Mrs. Smith was born May 26, 1954, and passed away Wednesday, December 24, 2008, at Riverland Medical Center Ferriday.
She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Her most enjoyable moments came from spending time with and spoiling her grandkids.
She was preceded in death by a son, Heith Smith; and her parents, George and Beatrice Thompson Fair.
Survivors include her husband, Howell Smith of Vidalia; daughters, Amy Lucas and her husband, Jon, of Jonesville, Kim Melton and her husband, Mack, of Vidalia; daughter-in-law, Monica Smith of Vidalia; granddaughters - Mikayla, Marleigh and Hannah Smith and Destiny Lucas; grandson, Landon Heith Allen Smith; brother, Richard Fair of Alabama; sisters, Debra Book of Harrisonburg and Helen Cagle of Jonesville; and a host of close friends, nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Mack Melton, Jon Lucas, Bobby Fleming, William Moffit, John Smith and Jamie Smith. |
