Story Archives: Lady Vikings fall to Marksville

Lady Vikings fall to Marksville
by Joey Martin - posted E-mail Story E-mail Story | Print Story Print Story
Vidalia's girls fell to Marksville 49-21 in Vidalia Tuesday in the District 3-3A opener for both teams.

Marksville improved to 17-7 overall wtih the win, while Vidalia fell to 3-12 overall.

Vidalia's boys were idle because the girls begin state tournament play earlier than the boys, thus starting their district schedules earlier.

Vidalia plays Marksville again on Jan. 13 and then Vidalia and Marksville's boys will meet on Feb. 17 in Vidalia in a boys only contest.

The state playoffs for girls begins Feb. 19.

Vidalia's boys have not played a game since January 6 because a scheduled game at Tioga on Jan. 9 was cancelled when Tioga changed coaches.
