Wilford Ray Ready

Funeral services for Wilford Ray Ready, 70, of Sicily Island were held Tuesday, January 20, 2009, at the Comer Funeral Home Chapel in Ferriday with the Rev. Sonny Nugent officiating.
Burial followed at High Park Cemetery in Sicily Island under the direction of Comer Funeral Home.
Mr. Ready was born November 22, 1938, in Harrisonburg, the son of Wilton F. and Flora Ella M. Ready. He passed away Saturday, January 17, 2009, at his residence.
He was a lifelong resident of Catahoula Parish and of the Pentecostal faith. He was the owner and operator of Vacuum Cleaner Sales and Service and an avid outdoorsman.
Mr. Ready was preceded in death by his parents and five brothers, Joe, Carl, Melvin, James and Charles Ready.
Survivors include his wife Catherlene "Tina" Ready; three sons -- Ronnie Ready and wife, Claudia, of Hermitage, AR, John Ready of New Orleans and Larry Ready and wife, Sissy, of Sicily Island; two brothers, Frank Ready and his wife, Rosena, of Brandon, MS, and Arnold Ready of Sicily Island; one sister, Linda Murray and her husband, Wayne, of Center Point; five grandchildren -- Dana Broussard, Daniel Ready, Jesse Lynn Ready, Tracey Ready Knight and Haley Ready; and three great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Clyde Polk, Cody Ready, Johnny Albritton, Adam Knight, Daniel Ready and Wayne Ready.
Honorary pallbearers were Keith Roberts, Randy Stockman and Charles Rutledge.
