Funeral services for Ruby Martin Graves, 82, of Denham Springs were held Saturday, January 17, 2009, 2 p.m. at Seale Funeral Home in Denham Springs. Services were conducted by Rev. Joe Alain and Mrs. Dina Malcomb.

Burial followed at Greenoaks Memorial Park in Baton Rouge.

Mrs. Graves died Thursday, January 15, 2009, at her residence in Denham Springs.

A native of Ferriday, she was a retired Bordie Collie breeder and member of Hebron Baptist Church in Denham Springs and also attended the First Assembly of God Church of Denham Springs. She was a member of the Tuesday Prayer Group and The Happy Bunch with her church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward Rufus and Alice DuBell Martin; her beloved four sisters and five brothers; and her former husband, Percy Q. Graves.

Survivors include three sisters -- Geneva Tarver, Bessie Lincecum and Merlee Dale; two brothers -- Ralph and Edward F. "Nub" Martin; nieces, nephews and spouses -- Ruby Darlene Dale Abbott and husband, Chad, L. Wayne Dale Jr., Martin "Marty" Q. Dale and wife, Joumana, Dr. Robin B. Dale and wife, Shanda; nieces by marriage, Beth Denham Dale, Liz Bozant, "Little Ruby" Coyle and a host of other nieces and nephews.

Nephews served as pallbearers.

Memorial donations may be made to the Deacons Outreach of Hebron Baptist Church, 1720 South Range Ave., Denham Springs, LA 70726.
