Janet Marie Gordon Young
Funeral services for Janet Marie Gordon Young, 49, of Baton Rouge, formerly of Ferriday, will be held Saturday, January 24, 2009, 11 a.m. at Rose Hill Baptist Church in Ferriday.
Burial will follow at the Ferriday Cemetery under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home.
Visitation will be held Friday evening, 7 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mrs. Young was born February 20, 1959, in Ferriday to Sonclair and Maggie Jones Gordon. She passed away January 16, 2009, at Baton Rouge General Hospital in Baton Rouge.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include her husband, John Young; one son, Joseph Gordon and his fiance', Veronica Roddy, all of Baton Rouge; three brothers -- Samuel Gordon and his wife, Sharon, Donnell Gordon and T. J. Jones, all of Ferriday; two sisters -- Ophelia Mason and her husband, Ernie, and Flora Frazier of Baton Rouge; and one grandchild, Jaquan Gordon of Baton Rouge. |
