Gertrude Jenkins
Funeral services for Gertrude Jenkins, 88, of Waterproof will be held Saturday, January 31, 2009, 2 p.m. at St. John Baptist Church on Lake St. John (Waterproof) with Pastor Justin Connor.
Burial will follow at Consurella Cemetery in Waterproof under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home.
Visitation will be held Friday evening, 6 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
Ms. Jenkins was born October 31, 1920, in Waterproof to Ace and Mary Davis Gross. She passed away January 24, 2009, at her residence.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, Percy Robinson.
Survivors include two sons -- Arthur Gross and wife, Gloria, of Ferriday, Charles Gross and wife, Delores, of Peoria, IL; two daughters -- Vera Gross of Waterproof and Gladys Dixon of Ferriday; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and one aunt, Grace Davis of Waterproof. |
