Prentiss Newbill Sr.
Funeral services for Prentiss Newbill Sr., 53, of Ferriday will be held Saturday, January 31, 2009, 11 a.m. at Rufus Baptist Church in Ferriday. Rev. Michael Reed will officiate.
Burial will be held Monday, February 2, 2009, 11 a.m. at National Cemetery in Natchez under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home.
Visitation will be held Friday evening, 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mr. Newbill was born January 7, 1956, in Ferriday to Walter and Gertrude Spillman Newbill. He passed away January 20, 2009, at his residence from injuries sustained in a house fire.
He was a bee farmer and a U. S. Army veteran.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Jerry Newbill.
Survivors include his wife, Theresa Hall Newbill; one son, Prentiss Newbill, Jr.; four daughters -- Angelisa N. Hawkins and husband, James, Darlene Newbill, Tracey Newbill and Keashonda Newbill; one brother, Walter Newbill Jr.; two godchildren, Jakeress and Jakydrick Hawkins, all of Ferriday; one god sister, Jackie Schiele of Wildsville; and four grandchildren. |
