Johnny Wayne Georgia
 Funeral services were held Friday, January 23, 2009, 1 p.m. at Vincent Funeral Home in Abbeville honoring the life of Johnny Wayne Georgia, 64, who passed away peacefully Tuesday, January 20, 2009, at his residence.
He was laid to rest at St. Paul Cemetery with Rev. Lloyd Trisler and Rev. Jr. Trisler officiating the services.
He was preceded in death by his father, James McCartney; mother, Eva White McCartney; mother-in-law, Maggie Guidry; and father-in-law, Murphy Guidry.
Survivors include his wife Peggy Guidry Georgia of Abbeville; two sons, Kevin Lane Georgia and his wife, Julie Harrington of Maurice and Jody Wayne Georgia and his wife, Trisha Stelly of Abbeville; one daughter, Tammy Georgia Vincent and her husband, Patrick of Maurice; grandchildren, Jacob Vincent and his wife, Danielle Robin, Jace Vincent, Mitchell Hulin, Martin Hulin, Trevor Georgia, Mason Georgia, Matthew Georgia and Devan Georgia; godchild, Amanda Guidry; brothers -- Jess McCartney and his wife, Dena of Monterey, Less McCartney and his wife, Pam of Jonesville, Jamie McCartney and his wife, Cathy of Zachary, Billy McCartney and his wife, Stephanie of Kileen, TX; one sister, Betty Book and her husband, Bud of Larto; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Mitchell Hulin, Martin Hulin, Trevor Georgia, Jacob Vincent, Jace Vincent, Cade Guidry, Timmy McCartney and Brandon Book.
Honorary pallbearers were Mason Georgia, Matthew Georgia and Devan Georgia.
