Enola Calhoun Cook Funeral services for Mrs. Enola Calhoun Cook, 94, of West Monroe were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, January 27, 2009, in the Eva Church of God of Monterey with Rev. Glen Young officiating.
Interment followed at Jessie Beasley Cemetery under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home of West Monroe.
Mrs. Cook attended the Eva Church of God in Monterey and was an avid fisherman. She loved being "down on Black River." Enola lived in Monterey for the last 35 years and had lived in West Monroe for the past three years.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Fred B. Cook.
She is survived by her sons, Fred B. Cook, Jr. of Houston, TX and Mickey Cook and wife, Dee Dee, of West Monroe; six grandchildren, Trey Cook and wife, Patty of Baton Rouge, Amiee Reeves and husband, Todd of Birmingham, AL, Julie Norris and husband, Chris of West Monroe, Julie Cook of Houston, Ashley McDonald and husband, Tim of San Antonio, TX, and Daniel Cook and wife, Rachel of Flower Mound, TX; 10 great grandchildren; and sisters, Marjorie Sturgeon and Frances Beane.
Pallbearers were Nicky Pere, Riley Lee Calhoun, John Sturgeon, Rodney B. Calhoun, Billy Beane, and J.W. Calhoun.
