Vidalia hosts jamborees
Vidalia High will host its annual jamboree this week.
The B-team jamboree will be held Thursday at Vidalia Adult Park wtih Vidalia, Block, Monterey, West Feliciana and Franklin Parish competing beginning at 3:30 p.m. with Block's B team taking on Franklin Parish's JV team for three innings.
A 3-inning B-team contest between Monterey and Block will follow.
Vidalia's JV team takes on West Feliciana's B team at 5:45 followed by Vidalia and Monterey.
On Friday in the varsity jamboree, Cathedral is playing West Feliciana at 4 p.m. in a 6-inning game, followed at 6 p.m. with a 6-inning contest between Vidalia and Franklin Parish.
"We've got a lot of pieces to the puzzle to put together," said Vidalia coach Johnny Lee Hoffpauir. "Our scrimmage last week at West Feliciana was rained out, so that set us back. We need to get out there and see some live arms."
Vidalia opens its season on Monday at home against Monterey. The Vikings will play in the Mangham Tournament Feb. 26-28. |
