Taunton's robbed at gunpoint Saturday An investigation into an armed robbery at Taunton's Ferriday Superette Saturday night is continuing, said Ferriday Police Chief Kenneth Hedrick.
"We're still in the process of reviewing the store video surveillance," Hedrick said. "If anyone saw anything or has information, I can make it worth their while."
According to Hedrick, the robbery took place at approximately 9:30 p.m. at Taunton's which is located at 801 Louisiana Ave.
Hedrick said the suspect entered the store dressed in black, wearing a mask and gloves and allegedly pulled out a small caliber pistol and demanded money.
The chief said the cash register was already locked, and the three employees working ran into a back room. The suspect took a few rolls of coins and a purse belonging to one of the employees.
Hedrick said the suspect was described as slim and about six feet tall.
"We're patrolling as much as we can and will continue doing our best to track down anyone involved in crimes," Hedrick said. |
