Sherman Brown Funeral services for Sherman Brown, 59, of Ferriday will be held Saturday, March 14, 2009, 11 a.m. at Greater St. Reed Baptist Church with Rev. Justin Conner officiating.
Burial will follow at Ferriday Cemetery under the direction of Robert D. Mackel and Sons Funeral Home.
Visitation will be on Friday, March 13, 2009, at Greater St. Reed Baptist Church in Ferriday from 4 to 7 p.m.
Mr. Brown was born April 25, 1949, in Natchez to Phil Brown and Delphine Thomas Brown. He passed away Friday, March 6, 2009, at Riverland Medical Center in Ferriday.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two siblings -- Phil Brown, Sr., and Lillian Johnson.
Survivors include four brothers -- Leroy Brown, Herbert Brown, Midge (Dorothy) Brown, all of Ferriday, and Marvin Brown of St. Louis, MO; one sister -- Gloria Jean Carter (James) of Sicily Island; three special friends -- Rosa Elaine, Bettie Jean Johnson and Pastor Justin Conner; three aunts -- Edith Snyder, Willie Lee Hill and Tressie Thomas, all of Ferriday; nephews -- Michael Brown of Ferriday and Daniel Brown (Maria) of West Berlin, Germany, and a great nephew; and a host of relatives and many friends.
Pallbearers will be friends of the family. |
