Graveside services for Mrs. Fern Jones Wright, 77, of Ferriday were held at Greenlawn Memorial Park on Thursday, March 5, 2009 at 2 p.m. with Bro. Preston Holder officiating under the direction of Young's Funeral Home in Ferriday.

Mrs. Wright was born January 24, 1932, in Acme and passed away Wednesday, March 4, 2009, at Denham Springs. She was a resident of Ferriday and a charter member of the Ridgecrest Baptist Church

She was preceded in death by her husband, JB Wright; father, Columbus Jones; mother, Delia Gaspard Jones; brother, Starling Jones; three sisters -- May McCall, Alice Netherland and Helen Delhoste.

Survivors include daughters -- Sherrie Collier and husband, Bobby, Terrie Thompson and husband, Wilbert, all of Denham Springs; grandchildren -- Jennifer and Burlie Sholar, Cory and Shana Thompson, Jason Thompson, and Clint Thompson and fiance' Melody Counts; and great-grandson, Beau Sholar.

Pallbearers were Cory Thompson, Jason Thompson, Clint Thompson, Beau Sholar, Bobby Collier and Wilbert Thompson.
