Thomas Wade Darnell Sr. Funeral services for Thomas Wade Darnell, Sr., 78, of Decatur, AL, were held Saturday, March 7, 2009, at Brown-Holley Funeral Chapel in Rayville. Bro. Buddy Frost and Bro. Travis Arrant officiated.
Burial was in the Rayville Masonic Cemetery.
Mr. Darnell was born July 2, 1930, in Simsboro.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ed and Lucille Darnell; his first wife, Frances Goforth Darnell; a brother, Lavell Darnell; a great-grandson, Elijah Bracey Haywood; and a daughter-in-law, Janet Darnell.
He is survived by his wife, Gail Darnell of Decatur; daughters -- Sherry Hutto of Rayville and Michele Darnell and her fiancé, Paul Barrett of Baton Rouge; sons -- Wade Darnell Jr., Kenny Darnell and his wife, Sherry, of Rayville, and Keith Darnell and his wife, Darlene, of Vidalia; a stepdaughter, Susan Davis of Decatur; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and two step-grandchildren; brothers -- Lewis Darnell of Biloxi, MS, W. T. Darnell of Sulphur, and Charles Darnell of Rayville; sisters -- Lujean Darnell of Rayville and Betty Ann Davidson of Ruston.
Pallbearers were David Faulks, Daniel Faulks, Max Darnell, Jerry Word, Perry Pee and Larry Watson. |
