Body of missing fisherman found The body of missing commercial fisherman Mack Kemp, 27, of Krotz Springs, LA, was located and positively identified Tuesday afternoon at the Louisiana Hydroelectric Station in southern Concordia Parish, according to Concordia Parish Sheriff Randy Maxwell.
Maxwell expressed his deep appreciation to the dozens of people from the many sheriff's offices, rescue units, wildlife agencies and other state agencies, as well as the individual friends and family members of the missing man, who assisted in the search since February 10.
Kemp was one of four Krotz Springs men whose two commercial fishing boats were swamped during a storm on the Mississippi River on the night of February 10.
Michael Shayne O'Connor, 34, and Nolton Sittig, 31, drowned and their bodies were recovered downriver from the initial incident. Jason Snyder, 27, survived the mishap. |
