Huntington netters get first win

Huntington's tennis team got its first win of the season, defeating Franklin Academy 5-2 on March 10 in Ferriday.

Julie Moak defeated Katy Little 6-3, 6-1 in No. 1 girls singles.

Julia Corbett and Sara Hoover ddefeated Kelly Kiper and Zsofia Balogh 6-2, 6-3 in No. 1 girls doubles.

Abbey Ashmore and Allie Boothe defeated Laura Payne and McKenzie Wren 6-4, 6-1 in No. 2 girls doubles.

Cody Dye and Anthony Olds defeated Ryan Sullivan and Dylan Carroll 8-4 in No. 1 boys doubles.

In No. 3 girls singles, Adalyn Boyd defeated Jessi Moore 6-2.

In No. 2 girls singles, Emilee Johns fell to Lindy Carroll 6-3, 2-6, 10-7.

In No. 1 boys singles play, Colby Gray lost to Britt Grieme 6-0, 6-2.

"It was good to have a team win," said Huntington coach Emily Guida.
