Ferriday falls to Natchez
by Joey Martin - posted E-mail Story E-mail Story | Print Story Print Story
Natchez High's first ever visit to Ferriday for a baseball game was put on hold as the Trojans had to re-schedule their game for Liberty Park in Natchez because of the wet field at Ferriday Junior High.

The Bulldogs took advantage of the home field, defeating the Trojans, 13-4.

Natchez pitcher Javon Washington struck out 12 Ferriday batters in the contest.

Natchez led 9-1 after four innings of play.

Ferriday came back with a run in the bottom of the inning when Dee Scott doubled. DeMarco Lewis and Nico Amado both had doubles for the Trojans.

Ferriday hosts Sicily Island Friday before traveling to Pointe Coupee on Saturday.
