Jerry Kennon Funeral services for Mr. Jerry Kennon, 55, of Harrisonburg were held at Community Pentecoastal Church on Sunday, March 22, 2009, at 2 p.m. with Bro. Ronnie House and Bro. Claude Terral officiating. Interment followed at Heard Cemetery under the direction of Young's Funeral Home in Jonesville.
Mr. Kennon was born April 15, 1953, in Harrisonburg and passed away Friday, March 20, 2009, at Natchez Community Hospital Natchez.
He was a resident of Harrisonburg.
He was preceded in death by his father, Rev.Cleveland Kennon; mother, Kattie Clark Kennon; sister, Lula Parker; and stepmother, Katherine King Kennon.
Survivors include a son, Rhett "Joe" Kennon of Ponchatoula; daughter, Gail Bass and husband, Weston, of Winnsboro; brothers -- Nathan Kennon and wife, Cathey, of Vidalia, Rev. David Kennon and wife, Gearl, of DeQuincy, Allen Kennon and wife, Polly, of Natchez; brother-in-law, Jerry "Buck" Parker and wife, Bobbie, of Jonesville; grandsons -- Matthew Benfield Kennon of Ponchatoula, Zackery Jones and Caleb Bass, both of Winnsboro; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Anthony Kennon, Michael Kennon, Ricky Kennon, Ron Kennon, Johnny Parker and Ashton Kennon.
Honorary pallbearers were Joel Kennon and Chuck Fritz. |
