Huntington netters nip Tensas

Huntington's tennis team pulled out a 4-3 win over Tensas in Ferriday Monday.

Huntington won three of four singles events and also won in No. 2 girls doubles.

In No. 1 girls singles, Julie Moak of Huntington defeated Emma Arceneaux, 6-2, 7-5.

Emilee Johns of Huntington blanked Lauchlyn Emfinger, 6-0, 6-0.

In No. 1 boys singles, Huntington's Colby Gray defeated Kayd Rush 7-6 (7-2), 6-2.

Abbey Ashmore and Allie Boothe accounted for Huntington's other win, defeating Malori Lansing and Allie Kate Gossett, 6-1, 6-3 in No. 2 girls doubles.

In No. 1 girls doubles, Jordan Leake and Ish Crigler of Tensas defeated Julia Corbett and Sara Hoover, 6-1, 6-2.

In singles play, Janie Head of Tensas edged Adalyn Boyd 8-6.

Gardner Barham and Charles Capdepon of Tensas defeated Cody Dye and Anthony Olds, 6-1, 6-1 in No. 1 boys doubles.
