Pryor, Poole 2-2A MVPs

Ferriday High's Levier Pryor and Chanta Poole were named most valuable players on the District 2-2A team.

Pryor, a senior, averaged 12 points a game, while Poole, a sophomore, averaged 16 points a game.

Carlton Robinson and Jasmine Upchurch were also named to the first team.

Robinson, a senior, averaged 18.1 points a game.

Upchurch, a senior who signed with Northwestern State, averaged 15.1 points a game.

Senior DeMarco Lewis and senior Jalessia Davis were named to the second team.

Honorable mentions are Orlando Davis, Markell Bell, Jasmine Butler, Atasia Banks and T'Keyah Fletcher.

Lady Trojan coach Lisa Abron was named Coach of the Year in the district.

Pryor was also as a Class 2A All-Academic honorable mention with a grade point average of 3.5.
