Funeral services for Mrs. Mae Roberts, 95, of Vidalia, will be held at First Baptist Church of Vidalia on Thursday, April 2, 2009 at 10 a.m. with Dr. Ralph Webber and Bro. Dan Glenn officiating.

Interment will follow at New Pine Hill Cemetery in Sicily Island under the direction of Young's Funeral Home in Vidalia.

Mrs. Roberts was born January 30, 1914, in Lucien, MS and she passed away Saturday, March 28, 2009, in Winnsboro.

She was a resident of Vidalia and a cook for the Concordia Parish School Board, and a member of the First Baptist Church of Vidalia where she served as a Sunday School teacher.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Roberts; father, Aston Golmon; mother, Lucinda Barfoot Golmon; sons -- James Roberts and Joe Roberts.

Survivors include sons -- Larry Roberts and wife, Ann, of Bossier City, Ronnie Roberts and wife, Maria, of Chesapeak, VA; Tommy Gene Roberts and wife, Allison, of Wisner. She was also survived by 14 grandchildren and numerous great and great-great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Greg Roberts, Michael Roberts, Jason Exelby, Richard Mosley, Joseph Odenwald, and Daniel Johnese.

The family will receive friends at Young's Funeral Home, Vidalia, from 6 to 8 p.m. today, Wednesday, April 1, 2009.
