The Mississippi College baseball team collected a big American Southwest Conference win with an 11-3 victory over East Texas Baptist on Friday night at Woods Field.  The Choctaws (17-12, 7-3 ASC) used a five-RBI night from junior Bo Bell to put away the Tigers (15-16, 4-9 ASC).

The Choctaws got on the board with a run in the first on an RBI single by junior Brannon Walls that scored sophomore Andy Smith.  Walls finished the night 2-4 with a run scored and an RBI, while Smith went 2-4 with four runs scored and three stolen bases.

Senior Brett Hinson (6-2) picked up the win for the Choctaws with eight strikeouts and no walks in eight innings.  The Vidalia, LA native gave up only five hits and three earned runs in the game. Senior Josh Denson pitched the final inning to clinch the win.

Five different pitchers toed the rubber for the Tigers with Blaine Shackelford collecting the loss as the first pitcher in relief.  Shackelford went two innings, giving up four hits and two earned runs
