Wedding Marsalis - Smith
Tiffany Danielle Marsalis and Royce Smith, both of Houston, TX, were married February 7, 2009, at Pilgrim Baptist Church in Natchez with the Rev. LeRoy White officiating.
Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. William Marsalis, Sr. of Vidalia, and Rosemary Smith of Houston.
Music for the ceremony was provided by Christine Reese, Susie Ellis, Tony Fields, Alvin Shelby, and the St. Joseph Arts String Trio.
The bride was given in marriage by her father, William Marsalis, Sr. She wore a strapless gown in a white satin by Audrey Hart Couture. Enhancing the romantic A-line silhouette of the dress was a modified sweetheart neckline with bugle beads, Austrian crystals, and a delicate filigree pattern to accentuate the bodice. The elegantly luminous Italian matte satin then flowed into a full skirt with numerous pick-ups highlighted by petite embroidered medallions with crystal accents creating a soft, whipped cream effect. Swarovski mirror-back crystals highlighted the curve of the bride's neckline and also emphasized the drama of the gown's spectacular beaded and embroidered corset-back. The skirt floated to the floor
then swept around into a graceful chapel-length train.
Katrina Howard of Spring, TX served as matron of honor and Keidra Powe of Houston, TX served as maid of honor.
They wore full-length strapless matte satin dresses with a slight sweetheart neckline and pleated bodice by Dessy. The platinum dresses were accented with a sash of the same color.

They woreA-line, floor length dresses of black iridescent taffeta by Impression. The strapless dresses had a ruched sweetheart neckline and were accented with platinum satin sashes.
Amber Paige and Kellyn Paige of Jackson, MS, served as flower girls.
Aaron Smith of Dallas, TX was best man.
Groomsmen were Kenneth Johnson, Sr. and Sedrick Thompson of Winnsboro, Darin Hashitsume, Laron Marion, Kelvin Robinson, and Dushaun Williams of Houston; and William Fredrick Marsalis, Jr. of Vidalia.
