Monterey track team places first

The Monterey girls track team won the Red River Relays at Bolton High in Alexandria Thursday.

The Lady Wolves totaled 140 points.

Ariel Hector won the shot put with a toss of 27 feet, 8 inches and was second in javelin with a throw of 82 feet, 4 inches and was third in the discus at 67 feet, 2 inches.

Taylor Morace placed first in the javelin with a throw of 94 feet, 7 inches.

Kristin Russell crossed first in the 800-run with a time of 2:52.2.

Kristin Lipsey placed second in the high jump with a leap of 4 feet, 2 inches. She also placed second in 800-run with a time of 2:56.

Logan Dale was second in the triple jump with a distance of 32 feet, 3 inches. She also placed second in 300-hurdles at 57.1.

Mollie Simpson placed third in the triple jump at 30 feet, 2 inches. She placed third in long jump 13 feet, 11 inches. She also placed third in the 300-hurdles at 57.2 

Kaley Baker won the 3200-run at 13:48.2 She also placed third in the 1600-run at 6:31.3

Ellen Bairnsfather placed second in 400-dash at 1:08.6 

Brooke Baker placed third in 3200-run at 14:11.4 

The 1600-relay team of Bairnsfather, Dale, Simpson, and Russell placed second at4:48.04 

The Monterey boys team placed fifth overall.

James Davis placed second in the javelin with a throw of 132 feet, 4 inches. 

Drew Brown placed third in 400-dash at1:04.2 

Ethan Cannon was third in the triple jump at 36 feet, 1 inch.

John McNeil placed second in the 110-hurdles.

The Monterey girls placed third in the Alexandria Senior High track meet on April 3.

Taylor Morace was third in the javelin at 97feet, 3inches.

Mollie Simpson was second in the 300-hurdles at 56.6.

Logan Dale was third in 300-hurdles at 57.7

Kaley Baker placed second in 1600-run at 13:58.2.

Ellen Bairnsfather placed third in 100-dash at 13.5 and was thrd in the 400-dash at 1:08.9.

Kristin Russell finished third in the 800-run with a time of 2:48.9.

The relay team of Bairnsfather, Dale, Simpson, and Russell placed second in the 1600-relay at 4:47.2 

Monterey's boys relay team of John McNeil, James Davis, Justin Stevens, and Ethan Cannon placed third in 400 meter relay.

Monterey will be competed in Delhi for District on April 22nd.
