Huntington track boys second at district The Huntington boys finished second at the District 6A meet, while the Lady Hounds were third at the meet in Centreville on April 8.
The top four finishers in each event advance to the South State meet at Silliman in Clinton on April 22 and April 25.
In individual boys results, Andreas Swanson won the long jump, was fourth in the 100-meter dash and fifth in the 200-meter dash.
Jeremy Randall placed second in the long jump and third in the 100-dash.
Jacob Beatty finished third in the 300-hurdles.
The 800-relay team of Joey Roberts, Swanson, Randall and Jess Dossett placed first.
Drew Loomis won the 1600-run, while Olds was third.
Loomis placed second in the 3200-run, while Olds was fourth.
The 3200-relay team of Anthony Olds, Cody Dye, Beatty and Bradley Cowan placed third.
Cowan, Beatty, Olds and Dye placed fourth in the 1600-relay.
In individual girls, Abi Brown won the 300-hurdles in 49.03, placed first in the 100-hurdles at 16.53 and was fifth in the 100-dash at 13.68.
Katie Gray won the 3200-run at 14.42, placed second in the 800-run at 3:01 and was third in the 1600-run at 6:58.
Cori Lyn Anselmi placed fourth in the 3200-run at 19:05. Adalyn Boyd was fourth in the 300-hurdles.
Emilee Johns placed sixth in the long jump at 14 feet, 2 inches.
The 400-relay team of Julie Moak, Johns, Brown and Natalie Tarver was fifth at 57.2.
Huntington's junior varsity track team placed third in district on April 6.
Anthony Olds won the 3200-run at 13:14.28.
Ian Black placed second in the high jump at 5 feet, 2 inches and was fourth in the long jump at 14 1/2 feet.
Peyton Young was fifth in the long jump at 14 feet.
Bradley Cowan was fourth in the shot put at 343 feet, 7 inches.
Garrett Vincent placed fourth in the 300-hurdles and third in hte 800-run.
Tyler Tyler Stockstill was fifth in the 300-hurdles.
Stockstill placed fifth in the 100-hurdles at 24.22.
Beatty placed fourth in the 100-dash at 13.3.
Wyatt Boothe was fourth in the 400-dash.
The 800-relay team of Cowan, Young, Beatty and Black was fourth at 1:52.7.
The same team placed third in the 400-relays at 55.42.
The 1600-relay team of Black, Boothe, Stockstill and Vincent was fourth.
The Lady Hound JV girls placed fifth.
Brookelin May was fourth in the discus at 61 feet, 5 inches, while Brianna Wright was fifth.
Cori Lyn Anselmi placed fifth in the 1600-run at 7:55. Natalie Tarver won the 800-run at 3:05.4.
Adalyn Boyd was sixth in the 100-hurdles. |
