James Ralph Reardon, Sr., 72, passed away at his Belle Chasse residence on Monday, April 20, 2009.

A Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Belle Chase was held Saturday, April 25, 2009 at 11:00 A.M. Entombment followed in the Church Mausoleum under the direction of Clark Ducote Funeral Home of Belle Chase.

Mr. Reardon was a native of Jonesville and a resident of Belle Chasse for the past 52 years. He was a retired switchman for the railroad and a proud Navy veteran of the Korean War having served on the U.S. New Jersey from 1954 until 1956.

He was a 1954 graduate of Ferriday High School and was looking forward to the upcoming school reunion. He will be sadly missed by family and friends.

He was the beloved husband of 52 years to Jeannette Demandre Reardon. Loving father of June Marie Reardon, Jacqueline "Jackie" F. Curtis (Charles), Jo Ann R. Casey (Harry) and the late James "Jimmy" R. Reardon, Jr. and Julia Ann Martin (Scotty). Brother of Al Reardon (Debi), Leonard Reardon (Jean), Linda Ryan (Leo), Annette Jenkins (Wayne), Ruth Hall, Judy Chipman (Randy), Sally Clark (Matthew) and the late Jack Reardon and his late wife, Toni. Son of the late Albert and Ordia Oglethorpe Reardon. Grandfather of Jared, Mitchell, Katelyn and the late Jason. Great grandfather of Julia and Jason.
