Mullen to speak at Natchez Eola Newly-hired Mississippi State head football coach Dan Mullen will be the featured speaker at the Adams-Franklin-Wilkinson County Mississippi State Alumni Chapter banquet at the Natchez Eola Hotel on May 6.
The alumni event will be held at noon and guests can buy dinner at the Natchez Eola buffet.
Mullen will be at each stop and he will be joined by representatives from the athletic department, alumni association, Bulldog Club and admissions and scholarships office.
"We had a tremendous turnout not only last weekend at the Maroon-White Game but also at every stop we've made since I've been here," Mullen said. "I have no doubt that will continue over the next 16 stops."
The tour will make in-state stops in Clarksdale, Columbus, Corinth, Greenwood, Jackson, Laurel, Natchez, Pascagoula and Vicksburg. Out-of-state destinations include Birmingham and Huntsville, Ala., Memphis, New Orleans, Houston and Dallas along with Jackson, Tenn.
Last weekend more than 31,000 Mississippi State fans were in Davis Wade Stadium for the Maroon-White Spring Football Game, setting a new state record for attendance at a spring football game.
The Road Dawgs Tour will kickoff next week with a Monday evening stop in Memphis, followed by lunch in Vicksburg and the Evening in Maroon Gala in Jackson on Tuesday and stops in Houston, Texas and Dallas on Wednesday and Thursday. The tour will continue over parts of the next four weeks, and details of each event can be found at the Alumni Association website at www.alumni.msstate.edu/roaddawgs. |
