Funeral services for Shirley Briggs, 69, of Jonesville were held at
Young's Funeral Home, Jonesville, on Saturday, May 23, 2009, 10 a.m. with Rev. Dave Phillips officiating.
Interment followed at Long Pine Cemetery under the direction of Young's Funeral Home in Jonesville.
Shirley Briggs was born August 30, 1939, in Jonesville and passed away Thursday, May 21, 2009, at her residence in Jonesville.
She managed and worked for Champlin Net Company for 52 years.
She was preceded in death by her father, Gilbert Briggs, Sr.; mother, Lillian Finley Briggs; two brothers -- Gilbert Briggs, Jr. and Enzor Briggs; infant brother, Rodney Briggs; and a niece, Sandy Deville.
Survivors include a sister, Ruth Champlin of Jonesville; two nieces --Tammy and husband, Craig Edwards, of Jonesville, and Vickie
Brantley of Lake Village, AR; great nephew, Dusty Edwards of Jonesville; four great nieces -- Kacie and husband, Ryan King, of Jonesville, Sunni and husband, Dillon McMillin, of Jonesville, Nikki and husband, Jason Grafton, of Brandon, MS, and Shana Brantley of Little Rock, AR; great-great neice -- Kadence McMillin of Jonesville; great-great nephew -- Davis Grafton of Jonesville; and two special pets -- Abbey Jo and Precious.
Pallbearers were Tony Johnson, Keith Johnson, Lorenzo Wilkerson,
Craig Edwards, Dusty Edwards and Sam Wilkerson.
Honorary pallbearers were Kent Brantley, Roger Deville and Roger
