More than $400,000 will be funneled into Concordia Parish law enforcement and judicial agencies in the coming weeks through the Louisiana Commission on Law Enforcement (LCLE).

POLICE JURY CONTINUES STORM CLEANUP
The Concordia Parish Police Jury is continuing to dispose of many of the small limbs and branches which fell during recent storms, but has yet to receive permission from the Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) on disposal of larger pieces.
PARISH AIRPORT FUEL STOP FOR COAST-TO-COAST FLIGHT
In early June, Georgia-based pilots Matt Hansen and Jessica Scharle will attempt to set the initial speed record for a transcontinental flight of a Light Sport Aircraft (LSA) and the Concordia Parish Airport has been chosen as one of three fuel stops on the westbound coast-to-coast, single day flight.

Officials with the Fifth District and Tensas Basin levee boards said the Mississippi and her tributaries should begin a slow fall following crests this week. |
