Maxine Smith Schiele
Funeral arrangements for Maxine Smith Schiele, 72, of Loranger, former resident of Natchez and Vidalia, will be Friday, June 5, 2009, 3 p.m. at Laird Funeral Home Union Street Chapel with Rev. Leon Zordan, Jr., officiating.
Burial will follow at Natchez City Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Visitation will be held from 1 p.m. Friday until service time at the funeral home.
Mrs. Schiele was born July 15, 1937, in Natchez, the daughter of Dr. Harry Maxwell and Martha Louise Rife Smith. She died Monday, June 1, 2009, at North Oaks Medical Center in Hammond.
Mrs. Schiele was born and raised in Natchez. She lived her married life in Vidalia. She was a member of the Huntington School Board and a member of the Concordia Parish Hospital Board.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Lyle "Buddy" Schiele Sr.
Survivors include five children -- Fred Lyle Schiele Jr. of Dallas, Carole Schiele Rice and husband, H. Earl, and Patricia Leigh Schiele, all of Loranger, Alan Maxwell "Max" Schiele Sr. and wife, Dana Hoover, of Baton Rouge and Steven Lowery Schiele II and wife, Holly Guillaume of Port Vincent; and four grandsons, Edward Lyle Schiele, Peyton Arnoux Rice, Alan Maxwell Schiele Jr., and Callon Catesby Schiele; two great-granchildren -- Christopher Lyle Schiele and Kimberly Anthodesmi Schiele.
Pallbearers will be Edward Lyle Schiele, Peyton Arnoux Rice, Alan Maxwell Schiele, Jr., Ed Schiele, Neil Hoover, Chase Callon, Cane Callon, Tommy Polk and Callon Catesby Schiele.
Memorial may be made to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. |
